Roadside Help in Knoxville Parking Lots and Apartment Communities

Updated: Sep 6
A breakdown does not always happen on the highway. If your vehicle will not start, has a flat tire or needs a tow from a Knoxville apartment community, hotel or business lot, tell dispatch how the service vehicle can reach it. Call 866-597-5872 for ACT to assess the request and quote the work.
Identify the vehicle’s position
Provide the property’s street address and the entrance nearest the vehicle. Add the building or space number, vehicle color and a callback number. A map may lead to the office or front entrance even when your vehicle is parked behind another building.
Tell dispatch about a locked gate, low clearance, narrow drive or vehicles parked close on both sides. If the vehicle is in a parking structure, state the level and posted clearance if you already know it. Equipment suitability must be assessed before arrival; do not assume any tow truck can reach every space.
Explain the help you need
A vehicle that will not start: describe the symptoms and whether keys are available.
A flat tire: mention a usable spare and any wheel-lock key.
A lockout: identify the vehicle and whether the keys are inside.
A tow: say whether it can roll or steer and give the destination address.
Keep access and authorization clear
If someone must open a gate or meet the driver, arrange that with the property contact. Tell dispatch whether you own the vehicle or are arranging help for its owner. Confirm the estimate, payment arrangements and expected timing before authorizing service.
A request to help your own vehicle is different from a property manager’s request to remove an unauthorized vehicle. Managers should use our private-property towing information to discuss signs, scheduled lot checks and towing authorization.
For your own breakdown, see ACT roadside assistance. Nighttime availability is limited and after-hours pricing is substantially higher; if the vehicle is safely parked, ask about daytime options.
