Keys locked inside your vehicle? You can call ACT at 866-597-5872 to request lockout help without purchasing an ACT membership. Dispatch will confirm whether the service is suitable for your vehicle, current availability and an estimate before you authorize work.

If a child, pet or another person is locked inside and in immediate danger, call 911. Do not wait for an ordinary roadside appointment in an emergency.

Describe the vehicle and the keys

Give the make, model and year if known. Explain whether the keys are visible inside, locked in a trunk, lost or unavailable for another reason. Tell dispatch about a damaged lock or a previous unsuccessful attempt to open the vehicle. ACT provides vehicle unlocking only. We do not cut, duplicate or program replacement keys; contact an automotive locksmith or your vehicle dealer for those services.

Have an authorized contact ready

Say whether you own the vehicle or are calling on behalf of its owner. Ask what identification or evidence of authorization is needed, and explain if those items are locked inside. For a rental or company vehicle, contact the rental provider or fleet representative about its instructions before independently arranging service.

Give a pickup point the driver can find

• The street address and name of the property.

• The vehicle’s color and its position in the parking area.

• The correct entrance, gate instructions and any clearance restrictions.

• A callback number for the person who will meet the driver.

Confirm the estimate, payment arrangements and expected timing with dispatch. Nighttime availability is limited and after-hours pricing is substantially higher. If the vehicle is safely parked and the request can wait, ask about daytime options.
